Soil Amendment
The ERT treatment process is fully adjustable allowing for the introduction of slight acidity into the discharge stream. Low levels of acidity in land-applied situations mimic the effect of nature on the water and neutralizes and even reverses the build up of salt and other hard minerals in the soil. This adjustability of the effluent pH allows the customization of the water to address local soil conditions and improve percolation rates as well as enhancing the transmission of nutrients and a plant’s ability to absorb the maximum amount of nutrients for greater yields and better efficiency. Increasing plant yields and health result in increased uptake of CO2 in the photosynthesis process.
